Data controller

Data, purposes and collection

The electronic Contact form collects your name, email, requested service and project details. Company, phone, vessel/project name, IMO number, vessel type and expected arrival/start date are collected only if supplied. Form validation fields and a 10-minute pseudonymous rate-limit key derived from the source IP protect the service. Identity documents and file uploads are not requested.

We process these details to evaluate your shipyard/service enquiry, communicate about it and prevent abuse of the form. The form is not used for marketing, profiling or solely automated decision-making.

Legal basis

The basis for this limited enquiry handling, communication and form security is legitimate interest under Article 5(2)(f) of Law No. 6698, provided the person’s fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed. Optional fields need not be completed. Receiving this information is not subject to an approval checkbox, and reading it is not recorded as explicit consent.

Recipients and retention

Relevant company teams and necessary hosting/email infrastructure providers process enquiry data to operate the service. Submissions are not saved to a separate website application database; they are sent by email. The form’s rate-limit key expires after 10 minutes. Email and infrastructure records are handled according to purpose, necessity and applicable obligations.

Google Maps

Opening the form does not load Google Maps. Choosing “View Map” loads the iframe, while the external link opens a separate Google page. Google may then process your IP and browser/device information through its own infrastructure, including outside Türkiye. The map choice is not stored or treated as consent for form processing. Reopening the page leaves the map unloaded again. See the Cookie Policy.

Rights under Article 11

You may learn whether your data is processed; request information, processing purposes and whether use matches those purposes; and learn recipients inside or outside Türkiye. You may seek correction, deletion/destruction where legal conditions apply and notification of those actions to recipients; object to an adverse result from solely automated analysis; and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

Data-subject applications

For a KVKK application, send a signed written request stating its subject and the details necessary to identify you and handle your request to GİSAN GEMİ İNŞAA SAN. A.Ş., Aydıntepe Mah. Güzin Sok. No:11, 34947 İstanbul, Türkiye.

Include your name, signature for a written application, identification details required by applicable law, a residential or business address for notifications, relevant contact details if available, and the subject of your request. Do not send identity documents unnecessary for the request through the general Contact form, which has no file-upload facility.

Other methods permitted by the applicable KVKK rules may be used when their requirements are met: registered electronic mail (KEP), a secure electronic signature, a mobile signature, or an email address you previously notified to the company and which is registered in its systems. A dedicated application system, if established later, will be announced separately. This website does not publish a verified KEP address or claim to operate such a system.

info@gisanshipyard.com is for general contact and privacy questions. Sending an arbitrary email there does not by itself constitute a valid formal KVKK application; an electronic application must meet the applicable requirements. Valid applications are handled as soon as possible and at the latest within 30 days, according to their nature and applicable law.
